Pope & AI

When even the Pope puts #ArtificialIntelligence at the heart of his first official speech, it’s clear this is no longer just a topic for engineers or nerds—it’s a global issue.

I’ve been talking about this for years, and now #PopeLeoXIV has made it crystal clear: #AI is one of the most urgent challenges facing humanity.

Not out of fear of the future, but because of the real risk of sacrificing human dignity, justice, and labor.

He compared it to the #IndustrialRevolution. And said the #CatholicChurch must lead the conversation around these shifts.

This isn’t a technical message—it’s an ethical one.

And it didn’t come out of nowhere: it’s completely aligned with what #PopeFrancis had already stated, when he called for an international treaty on AI and voiced deep concern over autonomous weapons.

All of this fits perfectly with the philosophy of #Cyberhumanism—an idea I’ve been advocating for years.

A vision that places the human being at the center of every technological process.

We can’t outsource ethical decisions to an algorithm.

We need to build a future where #AI serves our values—not the other way around.

What we need is awareness. And accountability.

Now, with over a billion Catholics around the world, even the Pope’s voice might help steer the course of this transformation.
