That’s what the new Future of Jobs Report 2025 from the World Economic Forum says.
We’re talking about nearly 6 out of 10 workers at risk of being left behind while the world speeds ahead—twice as fast.
The reason? Same as always: Artificial Intelligence.
According to the report, we’re heading toward a tipping point—one that mirrors the impact of the steam engine during the Industrial Revolution.
Only this time, it’s happening much faster.
In the next two to three years, the way we work will be turned completely upside down.
And it’s no longer just about technology.
The skills that will truly matter are a mix of human strengths and digital fluency.
Here are the top skills for 2030: Artificial Intelligence, big data, creativity, resilience, analytical thinking, leadership, self-awareness, talent management, curiosity.
In short: we need to stay sharp, flexible, open to learning—and fully human.
Especially since nearly 40% of today’s skills will become obsolete in just a few years. Gone. Useless.
Meanwhile, AI is expected to eliminate 92 million jobs…
…but create 170 million new ones.
So yes, there are opportunities. But they won’t be for everyone.
Those who are ready will ride the wave.
The rest will be swept away.
That’s why reskilling isn’t optional anymore.
It’s the bare minimum to stay in the game.
We need to study AI, understand it, use it, test it in our work—one step at a time, starting now.
This isn’t just about learning to use AI.
It’s about building a new mindset around it. A new way of thinking.
A new way of being.
Because the future doesn’t wait.
And once something is invented… it can’t be un-invented.
